Samelin M77 leather boots

M77 boots are known as Norwegian combat boots. The model, developed for the Norwegian Army, has also found its place in everyday life and leisure.

The development of the M77 model took ten years. The goal was to combine durability, comfort, moisture resistance, and ease of care. The first version was delivered to the Norwegian Army over 50 years ago, and according to the supplier, several NATO armies, including the Norwegian Army, still use M77 boots.

Materials and construction

The upper of the M77 boots is made of thick, 2.8–3 mm full-grain leather. The boots are breathable and water-repellent, and their construction uses leather, steel, and polyurethane. The outsole is injected polyurethane, or PU.

The anatomical insole is shock-resistant, antibacterial, breathable, and washable. Lightweight Cambrelle textile lining.

Fit and use

The M77 is a unisex model designed for both men and women. The sizing is generous, as the boots are intended to be worn with warm socks or even two pairs of socks at once.

The thick leather may require breaking in before the boots adapt to the foot. Regular greasing helps keep the leather in good condition.
